A few weeks after the end of the Men's World Handball Championship, we interviewed Romain Petiteau, Digital Communication Manager, of the French Handball Federation. He explains how he makes his editorial choices, what his strategy on social networks and what are these goals. Discover the bottom of the social media strategy of France Handball teams. Credit: FFHandball / S.PILLAUD. To promote a sports federation on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram is obviously to highlight the sport on these different networks and interact with the community. But it is also working in collaboration with the players of the national teams and share with the fans the intensity of a live match. What is your assessment of this World Cup? We can not really compare with the figures of the last World Championship. As the games were held at home, the commitment was much stronger and the competition generated a lot more interest. On the one hand, our community is growing. In addition, there was a very good involvement of players who have relayed our content. Finally, all the work of creating our digital charter was paying off and allowed us to produce very homogeneous content and with a beautiful visual identity. Romain Petiteau manages the social networks of the French teams of Hanball and the French Hand Federation. Can you describe your job as community manager for FFHandball? I am responsible for digital for the French Handball Federation. Community management is one of my missions, but it's not the only one. I also do CRM, project management, etc. I manage the 6 social accounts of the federation and I take care of reporting. Every day, I release time to take care of social networks. I also watch over my professional time and my personal time by following major players in the sports world to observe their way of doing things. But I also watch actors from the musical and cultural world, especially to have another look and find good practices. Just before the championship, I set up a digital charter with a studio. The goal was to identify both graphically and contentally what we liked and what could potentially work. The handball world cup was an opportunity to test it and it works. This only concerns what can be anticipated such as photos, birthdays, reminders of big meetings, etc. We have a very important live policy, especially when there is a match. In particular, we have set up a live tweet to allow our community to follow sports events, because the hand is not always broadcast in clear. On big meetings, I work in pairs with a colleague to create a link with our community. There are generally few competitions in the year, so we need to be very present at these times to be successful. We must focus on the sporting aspect of course. The hand has a similarity with basketball in terms of the importance of statistics. We work a lot with the results sheets to communicate them on social networks. The goal is to bring the audience closer to the players. We capitalize a lot on audiovisual content. No post is published without a photo or video. Finally, we try to create proximity with the players of the team, off the field. For example, by posting a post as soon as there is a birthday, or by putting forward an athlete who has another passion outside the hand, like the photo. This generates a lot of Rajput Status vediostatus.com Hindi | Royal Rajput Status | Rajputana Status In English | Rajput Attitude Status | Rajput Love Status | Rajput Shayari commitment and it creates a connection with players off the field. In the hand, people are more fans of the players than the team in general. So we try to create interaction with the players' accounts. Nikola Karabatic among others is more powerful than the social networks of the federation. We are linked on WhatsApp to communicate all the publications we do. It has the opportunity to relay them to increase visibility. We created a very good synergy. We systematically communicate to each athlete the publications we want to do on him, first to keep him informed, then to give him the opportunity to share it and
